Futures of...
A Futures of... project is a full foresight project that explores the futures of a specific domain and timeframe, such as The Futures of Potable Water in the United States: 2040. This usually involves a small team of futurists and stakeholders to create a comprehensive report and/or experiential event. Phases of the project include Framing, Scanning and Research, Futures Insights, Visioning, Strategy, and Action Planning. Projects usually last 3-6 months.
Technical Strategy
Many organizations may not be ready for a full foresight project, especially if foresight is a brand new concept. However, most organizations need a strategy around technology and data. Technology projects are similar to other strategy engagements but are more specific to the organization around its maturity and use of technology and data such as automation, data management, governance, technology and ethics, and AI.
Maturity Assessment
Maturity assessments are often part of larger strategy projects, but sometimes organizations want an assessment on their current state before diving in. There are two different assessments available: the Foresight Assessment and the Data Capabilities Assessment. These projects usually take 2-4 weeks and cover seven disciplines, each with their own practices.
Foresight Services
Sometimes all you need is help in a specific part of foresight such as horizon scanning, scenario writing, or implications analysis. I work with other futurists and organizations in supporting foresight projects.
